প্রতি বছর জুন মাসের তৃতীয় রবিবার বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশে পালিত হয় বাবা দিবস। সে হিসেবে এবার বিশ্ব বাবা দিবস ২০ জুন। পিতার প্রতি সন্তানের ভালোবাসা প্রকাশের জন্য দিনটি বিশেষ ভাবে উৎসর্গ করা হয়ে থাকে।
পিতার প্রতি সন্তানের ভালোবাসা প্রকাশের জন্য বিশেষ কোনও দিনের প্রয়োজন হয় না, তবুও মা দিবসের অনুকরণে দিনটি পালিত হয় বাবা দিবসটি পালিত হয় একই আবেগের তাড়নায়।
বাংলাদেশেও এ দিবসটি পালিত হয় বাবার প্রতি হৃদয়ের গভীরে লালিত মমত্ত্ববোধ ও উদার ভালোবাসার গল্পটি বিশ্ব মানচিত্রের পাতায় অকপটে লিপিবদ্ধ করার তাড়নায় । কারন জলন্ত আগ্নেয়গিরির চুড়ায় বসে সন্তানের মঙ্গল কামনা এবং ভবিষ্যতের ভিত তৈরী করে দেয়ার জন্য উৎসর্গিত মহাপুরুষ একমা্ত্র বাবা ছাড়া আর কেউ নেই । সুতরাং বাবা-মা দুজনেই হচ্ছেন সন্তানের জীবনব্যাপী একমাত্র আদর্শ ও প্রেরনার এক উদার সাহসী প্রতীক ।
তাই আজ বিশ্ব বাবা দিবসে মাতা-পিতা দুজনকেই জানাই হাজারো সালাম ও নিরন্তর শুভেচ্ছা
