শহর থেকে দূরে
স্মৃতি জাগানিয়া শৈশবের কোলে এসে
মন আমার হারিয়ে গেছে অনাবিল আবেশে
তুমি জননী জন্মভূমি মাটি মানুষের বাংলাদেশ
যে মাটির নিচে ঘুমিয়ে আছে স্বাধীনতার মহাকবি
আর লক্ষ মুক্তি সেনা অতন্দ্র প্রহরী অনিমেষ
আমি মাটি কামড়ে পড়ে থাকবো এখানেই অনন্ত অশেষ

far away from the city jargon
i lost in paradise of childhood
your are my mother , my mother land
the country of man and soil
where sleeping the poet of independence
the millions of freedom fighters
i will stay here for ever – never any where
