Prior to 1886, workers were employed there for 10 to 16 hours. But this long-term vision of a worker witnessed hardship. As a result, the Soviet Union and various Eastern bloc countries have long opposed labor.The seeds of May Day were later sown in collaboration with various communication parties and the government. May Day is celebrated in 1886 by Grover Cleveland, the 22nd and 24th President of the United States.In 1889 an international federation of socialist groups and trade unions designated May 1 as a day in support of workers, in commemoration of the Haymarket Riot in Chicago (1886). May Day achieved full meaning observance in 1920s.
